How was the project created?
How was the project created?
Challenge
Zadako is a company that distributes low-cost products, which are mainly marketed in markets, tianguis and local fairs. Among the products that they distribute, we can find toys, houseware, office supplies, among others. The main objective of this project was to develop an effective e-commerce platform, in which Zadako’s clients, mostly not used with the use of digital tools, felt comfortable, safe and satisfied with their shopping experience.
Project
Due to the complexity of implementing a digital tool within an ecosystem alien to these platforms, a thorough user study was conducted. Several aspects inside the shopping experience were analyzed, in order to identify the users value generators, pain points and the relationship between them and digital platforms. With these insights, we designed an e-commerce platform with an interface that prioritizes graphic elements, making it very easy to use and thus ensuring its adoption within Zadako’s target market.
At the same time, the packaging and logistics process was standardized, and an e-commerce administration platform that connected to Zadako’s ERP was developed, in order to facilitate the administration and integration to the company’s ecosystem.
How do we generate value?
- By creating a tool that meets the needs and the environment in which Zadako’s clients operate, facilitating the purchasing process of their products.
- By standardizing the packaging and logistics process in the check-out and delivery of products.
- By integrating Zadako’s new e-commerce to its ERP, facilitating the adoption of new internal administrative processes.

Who are we designing for?
This time, we were designing for a market with low technology penetration.
This profile is beginning to integrate technology in their operations, knowing it can help them streamline their operations. This is why it was important to define, through usability tests, the navigation flows and interface styles.

The path towards the MVP
The initial result of the design and development process consists of an actionable prototype, which we call an MVP (Minimum Viable Product). In this project, we developed an e-commerce platform, along with an administrative tool, and integrated them with Zadako’s ERP.
After the launch of these products, we gather information and, based on these insights, we add modules and functionalities that complement and strengthen the user’s experience.
