A digital credit product for SMEs

We are expanding the digital functionality of SME credit to meet their needs during the pandemic

Challenge:

Bancoppel approached us to strengthen the value proposition of its SME credit in its digital ecosystem. They needed to build an origination mechanism that could integrate other group products to offer greater benefits to small business owners during the pandemic.

what do we achieve?

We devised several functionality concepts based on the analysis of SMEs during the pandemic. We co-created an incentive program for the segment, in which they would have access to the customization of a package of financial services, cash-back, insurance for their employees, among others. All these benefits would be available to contract and manage in a fully digital flow, which is naturally integrated into the origination systems and processes.

How did we do it?

Based on a user-centered approach, we adapted our methodology for this project as follows:

Immersion

We understood the product and its capabilities, and we immersed ourselves in other Grupo Coppel verticals to identify complementarities and seek to increase the product's value offering.

Exploration

We conducted multiple workshops with SME entrepreneurs, in these workshops we validated their needs and expectations, we generated empathy with them to identify their pains and JTBD that existed in the product and the environment.

Ideation

Based on this knowledge, we co-created multiple concepts with the Bancoppel team that sought to increase the value proposition of SME credit by taking advantage of other verticals.

Definition

We define the concepts to be integrated into the product, and we map them into new navigation flows for the front end, in the same way we also define the different integrations that were triggered in the back-end of the service and the operation.
