In-branch consumer rewards system

CARL'S JR.

We developed a rewards system for a multi-brand franchise group

Loyalty // UX & UI Design // MVP Development

Challenge:

Grupo San Carlos is a housing development firm from Guadalajara, Jalisco. They have delivered more than 60,000 homes in 55 years.

Carl's Jr., one of the leading companies in the fast food industry, was looking to obtain information from its users in order to get to know them better and generate sales strategies. That is why we designed a system of benefits (coupons), seeking to increase the group's sales in a dynamic way, consolidating customer loyalty and at the same time, facilitating the collection of Data on consumer preferences through digital infrastructure.

“By giving out paper coupons we made the promotion valid but we knew nothing about the customer” Deputy Director Corp. Star GDL

what do we achieve?

The group's sales increased by 181% during its launch, and customers' preferences were capitalized on through the use of the app and around 30,000 users were attracted by redeeming 45,000 coupons.

How did we do it?

We improved the promotions experience by designing and developing an application that acts as a tool for redeeming coupons in branches, through a dynamic roulette wheel. We were able to identify the most frequented branches and customers' favorite products.

Immersion

We begin by immersing ourselves in the company, where we focus on understanding its operating and commercial model and its technological and brand architecture with the aim of understanding the different business rules and its technological capacity.

Exploration

We conducted research focused on those people who frequently visit branches, capitalizing on their needs and value generators in the shopping and branch experience.

Ideation

Based on this knowledge, we generated a vision of the product, in terms of modules and functionalities to define a route for the product to meet user needs and technological feasibility.

Definition

We define the minimum viable product (MVP) from a user-centric perspective. We validate the concepts through prototypes and define the development and integration plan for core business systems such as POS and ERP.

Construction

We develop the product respecting the business rules and the operation through full integration with your system. In addition, on the front end we deliver a product with excellent (UX) for customers.
