We designed a point-of-sale system specialized in the automotive aftermarket industry and SMEs.

Challenge:

They sought to validate and develop a new digital product that would generate value for SMEs by allowing them to optimize the management of their business through a technological tool.

what do we achieve?

We created a specialized point-of-sale system that optimizes the user experience through key modules and functionalities to add greater value to customers. This system, designed for a direct connection to inventories and supply, has proven to be applicable in hardware stores, spare parts distributors, automotive workshops, and pharmacies.

More than a digital product, it was a vehicle for: 

  • Position a new competitive tool in the market, with the potential to be a leader in the segment.
  • Support the professionalization of the current client portfolio (auto parts stores) through a tool that helps them manage their business more efficiently.
  • Capitalize on industry data to meet business objectives and make better decisions.

How did we do it?

After conducting a market analysis and the different point-of-sale systems that exist, a user-centric study was conducted, focused on cash managers and owners of MSMEs.

Immersion

We begin by immersing ourselves in the company, where we focus on understanding its operating and commercial model and technology team with the aim of understanding the different business rules and its technological capacity.

Exploration

We conducted interviews and workshops with auto parts stores, hardware stores, construction material distributors, and pharmacies, focusing on identifying pain points and value generators, the perception of PoS needs, and being able to map the current journey of the sales process.

Ideation

We identify the main pain points of the current journey, prioritizing them by segment. With this, we identify the valuable functionalities and capabilities that the system requires (PoS).

Definition

We define the flows, the monetization model and the interfaces of this new PoS system, seeking alignment with the business objectives, in the short, medium and long term.
